Seatons' "Town Matters" - is now on-line
What Price do we put on our town's future?
How long do we go on waiting for what we want?
who pays for the failure of governments to address local needs?
What price should we pay as residents and local businesses for a say on what is important for us, our families, our jobs and our local prosperity. Should we have a voice, or should the government and local bureaucracy dictate the terms of our existence. Do we have a right to say to large corporations that 'we don't want your one size fits all' solution, that a new road, or petrol station is too high a price to pay for loss of our livlihoods.
Can we as a local population make a better job of organising ourselves, exploiting our strengths, developing our assets and minimising our losses in local currency, employment and inward investment. The Seaton Business Forum is a place to start, what we do from here is up to all of us. Or, we could just lie down and die!
